The center offers a variety of useful services for travelers
Staff members are waiting to serve you in any of four languages
Foreign staff members who speak Chinese, Korean, English, and Japanese are standing by to provide exceptional customer service. Our 14 talented employees (as of April 2013), who have undergone a variety of training in areas such as hospitality and information about sightseeing destinations along Hankyu’s train lines in the Kansai region, are international students who attend colleges in the area. Some of them speak three or four languages, and they’re able to provide fine-grained customer service since they can understand the concerns of foreign visitors in a way that may be difficult for Japanese employees.
From the discount ticket sales to sightseeing information
The Tourist Center offers Tourist Passes, which provide a way to explore the areas along Hankyu Hanshin rail lines at a reasonable cost. You need only show your passport and fill in the required information on the application form. Additionally, the center's many employees are continually gathering information from throughout the Kansai region so that they can provide seasonal information about famous sightseeing destinations in a timely manner. The facility also stocks pamphlets in foreign languages for visitors to take with them, providing a source of extensive sightseeing information about Nara and other nearby locations in addition to Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe.
From computers to 3D sightseeing information
When you enter the center, the first thing to grab your attention is a giant, 85-inch display on the wall next to the entrance showing sightseeing videos. To the right of the entrance are two computers that visitors can use for a fee. There’s also secure WiFi for use by visitors with tablets. As you go further into the center, you’ll find a 50-inch 3D television showing free videos about sightseeing in Kyoto, allowing you to experience some of that city’s attractions with exceptional presence and realism. The large, 96-square-meter space provides a relaxed environment in which you can browse the latest sightseeing information at your leisure.
